Something we haven't talked about much is what to do if we come under attack by a large alliance or by an overwhelming force.
This came up in the last AvsA with DoW and I think it's important we know what to do or have a plan if it looks like we are going to start losing a camp or tons of SS's.
1. If a camp is taking damage I think we let it drop all the way to 100% damaged until the situation is resolved. Trying to repair a camp under siege is a silver trap where you keep dumping silver into it but once it hits 100% damaged that's the most your gonna spend. And aid can help to repair it.
2. If possible I think we sacrifice one lower camp to reinforce our main camp. So for instance if we use this upcoming AvsA as an example I'm guessing our two MAIN camps will be the barter and aid camps. So if attacked we pull our SS's garrisoning the spy camp to better protect our main camps. And if it's really bad we abandon the aid or barter camp, whichever is deemed more expendable, to reinforce one camp.
3. I know I'm in the majority on using peerless SS's in AvsA but I would recommend using peerless guys for attacks and having non peerless to keep in garrison. That way the likelyhood of having that peerless SS be killed is reduced. I only bring this up because silver will be at a premium if we are attacked and using it on bringing back killed peerless SS's is a pain. Both SS's I lost last AvsA were peerless ones and it really hurt. I could've lost dozens of lesser SS's for that price and the peerless SS's aren't that much better.
4. This last one is tougher and really dependent on your play style and access to gold but I've started to create an armor/ weapon/ companion set for AvsA defense. The set is all defensive stats and seals that remove SS's at different wound levels. I don't know about you guys but I had a lot of seals I didn't know what to do with. Those 1% chance of removing a wounded SS seals seemed pointless but when added to an armor or companion with a percentage addition really added up. I got barriston selmys cape or armor, sorry can't remember which, with a pack I bought and it really added up. I'm hoping to add a weapon and companion to do similar things. That way if I'm asleep or at work I don't worry as much.
These were all just ideas I had that I thought warranted discussion. It seemed important to me to have a plan of action if we get really hit. Please feel free to tear this apart or offer alternative ideas. I'm just trying to figure out the best strategy.
