Here's an idea I have that I want to propose. We contact a lower ranked alliance, I'm thinking the Long Night or Guardians of High Garden, and offer our spy or barter camp for one of their camps to farm. Two reasons; 1 we go full tilt aid. Max out the CP in the aid with all battle guys and barter with everything else. We then hit their camp with the barters guys with sabotage to hurt it, then aid it with the aid camp. The sabo would give more VP to take a run at 4th and maybe help with the aid prize. And 2 we'd get more aid wins for more VP in that.
Plus maybe we gain another ally and help them level and take a run. They can do basically the same thing.
What do you guys think? Col would have to feel some people out. I picked those two because they're not close enough in VP to probably catch us and seem like they could use the help
The long night Guardians of high garden

Interesting concept Alex. Currently we are gaining on 4th place but not fast enough to catch them at the pace we're going

I think taking fourth would be pretty cool plus we could be something other than just waves of aid.
On an aside I was thinking that on maybe the last couple days we switch to hitting a farm camp for harass and fight spoils. I have 2500 aid spoils RIGHT now. By the end of this I'll have 5-6 thousand maybe. If we each could get a couple hundred fight and harass spoils we cold run the battle alliance challenge for extra exp and whatever they drop now. If we adopt this above plan and we're close maybe not but it would give us challenges to do and not waste the spoils.

I've been looking on the GoTA forum to try and find info on whether Aiding a damaged camp yields anything different for us providing the action as opposed to just Aiding a fully healthy camp. The point for calling full tilt on aid was just so we made an united push for the prize in the reach. If you guys are bored and want to do something other than aid over and over, we can always just hammer a farm camp to dust because we have permission to do so. If you find info that makes us hitting a farm camp to turn around and repair it more valuable link it please, because I haven't found any yet. Aid is still beneficial in the regard that it grants a virtue even when it doesn't repair anything, and that's all I've found so far. If it's just for number of successful aid action against an undefended camp, I can ask an ally to pull thier goalie. Most of our current allies though are either higher than us... So they need to keep things manned, or substantially lower than us so they probably won't provide much in the way of vp to try and keep pace with our #5 ranking. I'm up for whatever we decide as a group, which was why I was trying to keep people on the aid train since it was our secondary goal to actively try for that prize in the reach. I'll check in on my PC after work tomorrow, take care till then everybody

What I was thinking was that maybe we can both do our Bert to maximize aid for the aid prize and gain more VP to try for 4th. I'm not bored or even looking to do offensive attacks. Z's made it pretty clear that no one knows how the aid prize is figured but there's three ways right? Just total aid given regardless of CP per person or whatever, total percentage which would suggest winning the aid is really important. Or total aid given to repairing a damaged camp. I'm guessing, purely guessing, that it's probably total aid percentage per person, something like that. So winning becomes more important than than just doing the aid. Therefore farming for aid would help us win the prize and certainly wouldn't hurt our efforts. But in case that actually aiding a damaged camp is what's needed to win the prize just sending aid out to a camp isn't doing anything for us. By damaging and then repairing the the farm camp we kinda cover both angles. And we get more VP with the few offensive actions we do to help secure 4th for us.
Everyone around us in this region is doing aid. I'm guessing everyone is going for the same prize we are, he'll ellisye united or whatever in number 1 has an aid camp. I got this idea from someone who pointed out that the reason other alliances don't want us aiding their camps is so THEY can aid them. It's why I think we need to farm something with an ally.
I'm all in on aid col, I'm just thinking of ways to make sure we win it.

I'm in either way. If we can get an Aid-farm, and spend some time on offensive actions it might be fun and give us a definite target as well.
What is the word on Fire and Blood'>>Ocean Road?

I was doing the same as Col. Trying to figure out where is my biggest bang for the buck and I'm no further ahead. Personally I've been hitting the biggest level 20 camps I can find which seems to be #2. I've been trying to keep an eye on the gap between us and the #4 alliance and it is getting smaller. Quite possible we might catch them if we keep up our current pace. But as far as winning prizes goes? I have NO clue how they're calculated so I can't tell if we're in the running or not

I did talk to Arwen from DU about the logic of the farming camp. It basically broke down to it yields more vp for hostile actions. It is only kept damaged for the purpose of hostile action farming. She actually sent me a 3 raven response as to specifics, but I figured the summation would suffice. I do have a raven out to the ocean road camp Zayne was asking about, just no reply as yet. I'll update you guys when I hear back. Also if you guys want, we could run a wave or two of hostile actions to fill challenges. Dragonfire fellowship ocean road camp is go for any hostile actions. Talk to you all after work

If we do send hostile actions out I'd start harass first so it doesn't damage our camp and towards the end of this AvsA switch to fight and leave our camp damaged. I sent a poorly thought wave of fight thinking I'd gain some VP and had the rude surprise of 24% damage to one of our camps. It was not cheap to repair.
But I think we should, we could run a LOT of AC's after this is over for exp.
